With the recent Android Stagefright vulnerability issues, many cell phone users have been disabling the auto-retrieve or auto-fetching feature of their phones. This feature allows for the automatic downloading of pictures or videos sent via MMS (multimedia messaging service) so that you don't have to manually download that content.
If you want to disable MMS auto-fetching on a Samsung Intensity cell phone (even though it doesn't run the Android operating system and thus isn't susceptible to the Stagefright vulnerability) you can do so easily:
-Press the left option button (to the upper left of the keypad) to bring up the Messaging menu.
- Press the left option button again to bring up the Messaging Settings menu.
- Press 7 for Multimedia Auto Receive.
- Go down to select Off.
- Press the OK button (in the center of the directional pad).
