Internet Explorer allows you to change the default styles that it uses to display web pages, via
CSS. You can apply your own style sheet, or one made by someone else. This feature is handy if you want to disable images or audio/video elements, among other things. (Note that the results of your style sheet may vary depending on how different web sites are configured.)
To apply a custom style sheet to Internet Explorer:
- Click the
Settings button (with the gear icon) in the upper right corner of the browser window
- Select
Internet options
- Click the
Accessibility button on the bottom of the first tab (
General)
- Click the box next to "
Format documents using my style sheet"
- Click
Browse
- Navigate to the style sheet you want to use (must be saved as a
.css file)
- Click
Open
- Click
OK
- Click
OK

These instructions were written specifically for Internet Explorer 11, but they should apply to other versions as well. (Some of the steps may vary slightly.)
