How to send email from a different address in Outlook 2016

If you have the necessary permissions to send emails from multiple accounts, Outlook makes it easy to change your sending email address -- the one that shows up in the "From" field in the recipient's email box.

The instructions below will walk you through changing your "From" email address in Outlook 2016.

- In Outlook, click the New Email button.
- Click the From button in the email header area.  (If you don't see a From button, see below for how to enable it.)
- If the email address you want to use appears in the drop down list, select it.  Otherwise, select Other E-Mail Address....
- Type the email address you want to use, or click the From... button and select it from the address book.
- Click OK.

If you select an email address that you don't have rights to use, your email will not go through.

If you don't see the From button in your compose email window, you'll need to enable it first.  To enable the From button:

- In the New Email window, select the Options tab.
- Click From in the Show Fields section.

The From button should now be visible.  It will show up by default from now on.
